Sewing Classes For Beginners
Short on time but full of sewing aspirations? Join our 4-5 weeks workshops on basic sewing, try out your sewing skills before committing to a longer course. In these workshops, learners will focus on specific projects of their choice such as tops or skirts , dresses , pants or a basic bustier.
Our sewing workshops include an Orientation Session at the beginning of the class, where you will learn how to operate a domestic sewing machine to complete basic tasks. We promise we’ll have you sewing in no time!
First, let’s start by getting you confident using a machine. It’s much easier than you might think and we’ll walk you through every step.
Sewing Projects
4- 5 WEEKS | 1 MONTH – 1 MONTH & A WEEK | 24 – 30 HOURS
These Workshops run once a week every Fridays.
From 09:00 AM – 16:00 PM
All fees must be paid before the course commences.

Begin your journey into sewing and enjoy the creative process of making your own clothes!
We will provide everything you need, from the necessary patterns to a FREE kit to complete your project. For instance, if you choose to make a skirt, we will teach you how to sew different styles, covering various techniques and theories related to skirt construction. You’ll learn about pattern selection, fabric choices, and sewing methods to create a range of skirt designs—from A-line to pencil skirts. By the end of the workshop, you’ll have the skills to create beautiful skirts that reflect your personal style!
Commercial Patterns

Introduction to Commercial Patterns
Many sewists begin by using commercial patterns that are designed to fit universally and are multi-sized, but they do require some skills to adjust. These workshops are ideal for beginner sewers, where you’ll learn how to fit and adjust commercial pattern pieces.
Workshop Details
In the workshops, we will work with a simple pattern ( provided by U Sew academy) —such as an A-line skirt, drawstring pants, or a dress, depending on the item of your choice We will teach you techniques to fit and sew garments using the commercial pattern method.
