2. Modifications
By using the website, you acknowledge that you have read these terms and conditions and agree to be bound by and comply with them. We reserve the right to make changes to our site, policies, and these Terms of Use at any time.
The information, software, products, and service included or available through the Program may include inaccuracies or typographical errors. Changes are periodically added to the information in the Program and Courses . The Company and/or its representatives may make improvements and/or changes in the Program, courses at any time.

U Sew Academy has not examined all the websites linked to its site and disclaims responsibility for the content of any linked sites. The inclusion of any link does not imply endorsement by U Sew Academy of the site. Use of any such linked website is at the user’s own risk.
4. Disclaimer
Information, ideas, and opinions presented on this site should not be considered as professional advice unless explicitly mentioned otherwise. U Sew Academy and its owners or representatives shall not be held responsible for any damage, loss, or liability of any kind resulting from the use or inability to use any product purchased on this website.
5. Limitation of Liability
U Sew Academy shall not be liable or responsible to You, for any failure or delay in fulfilling or performing any term of any Agreement when and to the extent such failure or delay is caused by or results from acts or circumstances beyond the reasonable control of U Sew Academy including, without limitation, acts of God, flood, fire, earthquake, explosion, governmental actions, national emergency, epidemic, lock-outs, strikes or other labor disputes or restraints or delays affecting carriers or inability or delay in obtaining supplies of adequate or suitable materials, or power outages loadsheddings.

U Sew Academy is committed to protecting our users’ privacy.
U Sew Academy only collects personal information when users voluntarily provide such details, during the registration process for classes , or when requesting information via email.
No personal information about a user will be disclosed to third parties without the user’s permission or due process. By using this website, the user consents to the following : “U Sew Academy may use the user’s personal information for communication purposes from time to time.”
7. Disputes
If any dispute of any kind arises between the parties regarding any matter covered by or arising from this agreement, South African law will be applicable, and the relevant courts of South Africa will have jurisdiction.
8. General information
U Sew Academy is a private sewing institution offering short courses that are practical and hands-on, suitable for hobbyists and those interested in starting their own business. Our courses are not accredited, do not adhere to the National Qualifications Framework (NQF), and are not based on any Unit Standards. The Academy is not registered with the Department of Higher Education. Enrolling in one of our courses requires a genuine interest in sewing, pattern making, and clothing design. No prior learning or experience, is necessary. However, the ability to read and comprehend our training materials at approximately a Grade 7 level of English is essential.
9. Cancellation Policy
In the case of a cancellation , applicants will forfeit the registration fee.
The deposit and equipment fee payments are not refundable under any circumstances after 7 days of payment.
Any student who registers for a Course/Workshop is liable for the total course/workshop fee, irrespective of whether or not the student completes the course.
CODE OF CONDUCT
1. Respect for Others
Treat fellow students, instructors, and staff with kindness, courtesy, and respect at all times.
Be mindful of personal space, especially when working on shared tables, tools, or materials.
Listen actively and encourage positive, constructive feedback from classmates and instructors.
Include everyone and appreciate different backgrounds. Support your classmates by sharing ideas, tips, and advice.
2. Punctuality and Attendance
Arrive on time for all classes, If you are unable to attend, inform the school as early as possible.
Consistent attendance is essential to progress. Notify the school in advance if you anticipate missing multiple sessions.
3. Safety First
Ensure you follow the safety procedures for sewing machines, tools, and equipment. Ask for proper instruction before using any machines or tools you’re unfamiliar with
Keep workspaces clean and organized to avoid accidents or injury.
Report any damaged or malfunctioning equipment immediately to your instructors.
4. Care and Responsibility for Equipment
Treat all sewing machines, tools, and materials with care. Keep machines and tools clean after each use.
Use equipment and supplies responsibly, following all instructions provided by the instructors.
If you break or lose something, inform the instructor promptly and take responsibility for any damage.
5. Professionalism
Refrain from using cell phones during class times, including responding to incoming text messages.
Avoid disruptive behaviors (e.g., loud conversations, or distractions) during lessons and class time.
Work independently when instructed to do so, but ask questions and seek help if you need guidance.
6. Respect for School Property
Keep your workspace clean and tidy at the end of each class. Dispose of scraps and materials properly.
Respect the school’s property and the materials provided. If you use materials from the school for personal projects, make sure to seek prior approval.
7. Learning and Development
Take ownership of your learning journey. Approach each class with a positive attitude and a willingness to grow.
Use the opportunity to experiment and develop your skills, but be patient with yourself when things don’t go as planned.
Be open to new techniques and constructive feedback from your instructors and peers.
8. Confidentiality and Intellectual Property
Respect the privacy and intellectual property of the school Do not share or reproduce documents or any work without permission.
Get approval from U Sew Academy owners to use U Sew Academy’s name and logo on your work, in association with your name.
Remember to acknowledge the school’s guidelines for copyright and sharing work outside of class.
9. Social Media and Photography
When sharing photos or work from class on social media, be mindful of others’ privacy and ask permission before tagging classmates or instructors.
Avoid sharing photos of student work without consent, particularly when it comes to unfinished projects or sensitive content.
10. Problem Resolution
If conflicts arise, address them respectfully and professionally, either with the involved parties or by bringing them to the instructor’s attention.
The school encourages open communication and will mediate when necessary to resolve any issues fairly.
