UNLEASH YOUR CREATIVITY

Our Sewing Courses

Whether you are new to sewing or have some experience already, our courses are designed to take you on a exciting journey........where will you start?

Our beginners and sewing courses include an Orientation Session at the beginning of the class. We want to ensure that all of our students get the most they possibly can out of their classes. In our experience, we’ve found that the best way to help you achieve this is to start the first class as an orientation session. This way, you’ll know exactly how the studio runs, where everything is kept, and most importantly, how to operate our domestic machines overlockers. Domestic machines and industrial sewing machines are provided for internal use.

What you will learn on your first class :
  • How to recognise all the parts of your sewing machine.
  • How to wind and insert a bobbin correctly every time.
  • Threading the sewing machine the right way.
  • How to sew in a straight lines and tackle corners and curves.
  • How to change the feet stitches.
  • Introduction to our Easy Pattern Maker, ultimate tool to create accurate patterns without complex calculations.

This course introduces the concept of pattern by guiding you through drafting a set of fitted blocks that will be the foundation for all your designs, including variations for bodices, skirts, dresses, and pants.

On Completion
After completing this course, you will gain the knowledge and skills to create basic pattern blocks of easy-fitting clothes. You’ll also be able to construct related patterns like pockets, facings, darts, and seams. Additionally, you will understand how to select appropriate fabrics for your designs and have the confidence to sew your garments, either using provided calico fabric or fabrics of your choice.
